Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, planned to attach a filter trash machine in Ciliwung River, precisely on the border between Depok and Jakarta.

Djarot hoped the machine can block trash thus the water can flow smoothly. That means, the flood could be minimized.
"I think it is good if we attach the trash filter in the border of Depok. At least it can minimize trash in the Ciliwung River," he said, when he reviewed the Manggarai Sluice Gate, Monday (11/16) afternoon.

"Indeed, there are still a lot of trash piles and cause overflowing water,” he stated.
He continued, the trash that piling up in Ciliwung River in Rawa Jati has led to water inundating some residential around Rawa Jati and Cawang Atas urban villages.
“I see a bridge in Rawa Jati is small thus trash easily stuck. We’ve instructed related unit to demolish it,” he continued.
